The Caster Model 2104 and 2109

The caster deposits the ceramic slurry on a polypropylene, mylar carrier tape or other tape material of any width up to 8.5 inches.(other models up to 13 inches) The machine uses a doctor blade to control dry tape thickness in a range of .0002" to about .020" depending on binder and speed. A heated drying system is used that is explosion proof to allow the use of flammable binder solvents. The air circulation provided for drying is filtered through a HEPA filter of the type used in class 100 clean rooms. The entire machine is enclosed and maintained at positive pressure to further assure a "clean room" environment internally. The finished tape is wound up on a storage roll which is removed for convenient storage. The machine has been designed for production and short test runs. Sections of cast tape can be cut and removed quickly and easily.
